About Us

I had been taking pictures as a hobby for many years. It wasn't until my second pregnancy that I took "portrait-type" pictures of my belly (with a digital camera and a timer - boy was that fun being 9 months pregnant and running back an forth between the camera and the backdrop!). I started showing friends and family my pictures and the response was overwhelming. I immediately had people telling me that they wanted me to take their pictures. That was when I decided to take on a new business doing something I truly enjoyed. Wow that first step was scary, but I have never regretted it. I get to spend the time I want with my boys and I get to bring my creativity to others through my portraits.

I wanted to build a photography business that was different from what I have experienced at many studios with my own family. I've been to many high volume companies for my family's portraits. These are great if you want low cost, low quality portraits that capture one or two OK poses. I was often disappointed with the quality of these portraits - usually the smiles looked forced and unnatural, as did the poses. But my biggest disappointment was that the photos did not capture the essence of my family. By the time we actually squeezed ourselves into the tiny, hot studio room (after waiting in the lobby for half an hour or more) nobody was in the mood for pictures - and that mood showed in the pictures!

In 2003 I decided to make a business that was completely out of the mass-market league. I built a business that caters to my customers. My studio is in my home (or I can travel to your home and set up there for a travel and setup charge). I limit the number of sessions I do per day to 2 or 3 so that there is no waiting, and so that I have enough energy and creativity left to give you and your family better portraits than you can imagine. I do not go by a clock (although most sessions never go over 2 hours if the group is 4 or less) because I do not like to rush through my portrait sessions. I found that rushing causes stress (both mine and yours) and results in bad pictures. I also do not limit the number of images taken, if I feel that by taking more I will capture "the moment," then I will take them. My goal is to use creative lighting and "natural" posing married with my artistic vision and experience to capture the essence of the people in my images.

As a professional photographer I pride myself on my attention to detail and my reputation as a specialist in maternity, infant and other specialty portraiture. I refuse to allow sub quality work to leave my studio, so I have always had a 100% guarantee from my portrait session down to the final product. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your experience, your images, or your final product I will do everything in my power to make it right or I will refund your session fee and/or portrait costs.

I love what I do, and I believe that is what makes the difference in my studio. I treat all of my client's and their family as if they are my own family. I spend most of my time servicing my clients so that that their entire experience with my studio from the initial consultation to the final delivery of their portraits is one that they will want to recommend to anyone that as looking for exceptional customer service in this fast paced, sometimes impersonal world today.

The extra time and energy I put into your portraiture may cost more than the “mass-market” photographers, but the results are amazing and will be cherished by you during this milestone in your life, as well as your future generations.

Please feel free to look around this site and come back often - I frequently make changes. If you like what you see and would like to discuss what a session entails, please feel free to call me at 602-527-6595.

Thanks for your time; I hope that you will consider my services when you decide to document this precious time in your life!

Sincerely,
      Brenda Bunch
